Latest Updates from Our Project:

In production
about 20 hours ago – Fri, Dec 06, 2024 at 01:16:19 PM

Hey Backers,

I wanted to give you a little update even though I don't have any pictures.  The Combat Creatures have been in production and the latest news I received was that all the parts have been injected and painted.  So the next step is for them all to be assembled, quality checked, then shipped over here and for me to combine them with any add ons you may have ordered like 3D prints, then ship them to you.

Over the past few months I have been cranking out 3D prints like the mini BB figures, weapon packs, and wing packs.  My home as become its own little figure factory as well as the stuff getting made over seas.

Thank you for all your support and I will be working very hard to get these out to you as quick as possible.  It usually takes about 30 days to ship them on the water so I'm sorry that I don't think I'll be able to get them to you by Christmas this year.  That was my main goal when I set out on the kickstarter journey but I'm very grateful to you guys for helping me get it funded and making it possible!

Wave 2 should go a lot faster!  what animals would you want to see?

Final packaging and finalizing the figures
about 2 months ago – Tue, Oct 15, 2024 at 10:39:20 AM

Hey Everybody,

Thank you for your patience as we have been going through the last few revisions on the figures and packaging.   We are in the final stretch!

We finalized the packaging and it looks amazing!  It took a little bit to get the sizing correct but  It will look great for you guys that like to display your figures in the package.  And for everyone else, the package will look great in the garbage as you're posing, animating and displaying these sweet figures.

The figures have also needed a couple of tweaks and that process can take longer than desired, especially if its something that needs fixing in the mold because the metal mold has to be fixed which is a long process.  and then there is a bit of back and forth between the factory.

We have also been trying to get the lions skin color correct because the first version almost looked like he was a sick dying lion and then the second attempt was a little too bright, cartoony and almost glowing.  But the third try was the charm and He will look Grrrrrrreat!!  wait.... we'll save that line for the tiger.

I have also wanted the joints to be just a little bit tighter.  the original mold samples were really good. maybe about 95% there.  But I just wanted you guys to get a super solid durable figure with great articulation and that is what you'll be getting.  I'm super exited to be in the final stretch.

Thank you once again for all your support and I'm excited to get these to you as well as a bunch more awesome Combat Creature products.

First injected figures from tooling molds
4 months ago – Sat, Aug 10, 2024 at 05:37:45 PM

Hey there backers,

I recently received the first few figures from the factory that are made from the tooling molds and I'm so impressed!!!  and I know you guys are going to love them! They turned out so awesome and will be a very high quality figure line.  My first thoughts after handling them is that they are a high quality hefty figure which I love.  the plastic used is super high quality and doesn't feel like the cheep waxy dollar store stuff.  The paint work is insane! I didn't notice and weird anomalies or overspray.

All the articulation and joints work great but there are a few parts that I want the factory to tighten up just to make this a perfect figure line and something that you all feel like was worth the money because you all totally helped make the dream reality and I really appreciate all your support.

Here's a little video showing off the new figures and fixes that are coming.

figure paint testing

Hey Backers,

We have made some good progress on the figures from the factory.  Our goal was to get the figures out to you by July and it looks like we are little behind schedule and I'm sorry for that.  But I think we are really close and I hope to get the figures out to you soon.  the factory is working on the paint right now and they are looking pretty awesome!!!

Once these paint samples are finished they will still need to send them to me for approval and then production can start.  Here is some fun pictures from the factory that show what the paint is looking like so far.

I also have been working with graphic designer to help on the packaging.  I still have a few tweaks for them to make a few things pop a bit more and some words to be more legible but I'm liking what they are doing so far.  do you have any thoughts on the packaging so far?  FYI The red lines will not be red but just represent where the box will be folded and the front white section is a window into the package.

Thank you so much for all your support and patience

Combat Creatures tooling testing
6 months ago – Fri, May 31, 2024 at 10:12:42 AM

Hey Backers,

I wanted to give you an update from the factory.  They have been working on the tooling and testing them out.  Last I heard is they had a couple loose joints that they wanted to go back and fix.  We defiantly want to get the highest quality figures we can and from what I've seen and experienced  with this factory is they produce some great figures so I'm very excited to see what they come up with.

Usually there is a little back and forth with the factory as far as getting the figures working correctly and then we will also need to test out the paint to make sure those look close to the paint masters.

Here is what some of the test shots look like using the molds.  The different colors of plastic don't really mean anything as these are just their in house tests.
