Hey Backers,

We have made some good progress on the figures from the factory.  Our goal was to get the figures out to you by July and it looks like we are little behind schedule and I'm sorry for that.  But I think we are really close and I hope to get the figures out to you soon.  the factory is working on the paint right now and they are looking pretty awesome!!!

Once these paint samples are finished they will still need to send them to me for approval and then production can start.  Here is some fun pictures from the factory that show what the paint is looking like so far.

I also have been working with graphic designer to help on the packaging.  I still have a few tweaks for them to make a few things pop a bit more and some words to be more legible but I'm liking what they are doing so far.  do you have any thoughts on the packaging so far?  FYI The red lines will not be red but just represent where the box will be folded and the front white section is a window into the package.

Combat Creatures tooling testing

Hey Backers,

I wanted to give you an update from the factory.  They have been working on the tooling and testing them out.  Last I heard is they had a couple loose joints that they wanted to go back and fix.  We defiantly want to get the highest quality figures we can and from what I've seen and experienced  with this factory is they produce some great figures so I'm very excited to see what they come up with.

Usually there is a little back and forth with the factory as far as getting the figures working correctly and then we will also need to test out the paint to make sure those look close to the paint masters.

Here is what some of the test shots look like using the molds.  The different colors of plastic don't really mean anything as these are just their in house tests.

Hey Backers!

I just wanted to let you know the molds are really close to being finalized and then they start testing the molds to see how everything fits together.  I believe that process should go pretty smooth because I already tested everything out in 3D prints so much before Kickstarter.  The preliminary samples they sent me before Kickstarter were also really solid too so the final version is always way better than those.

While the 6.5" figures are being made I wanted to reach out to you all and see if you would also be interested in a 2" fully painted and fully articulated version that would be inspired by the Battle Beasts from the 80s.  Battle beasts were one of the main inspirations for the whole Combat Creatures idea anyways so I thought I would take the concept even closer to something that could fit in your existing collections.   These would be different than the Mini BB's that I made available in this Kickstarter as digital downloads or 3D prints.

The 6.5" version being made right now will be perfect for the modern figures that are popular today but I'm sure a lot of you were attracted to Combat Creatures because of that Nostalgia of the older figures.  Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in these or comment on the @morphonauts instagram account.

Molds almost finished

Hey Backers!

I have heard from the factory that almost all the molds are finished!  They had to tweak a couple of the head molds so the injection could be released from the mold better.  I believe we are still on schedule to get these figures to you this summer.  We are very close!  I have also been working on another secret Combat Creatures related project that I think a lot of you old school Battle Beast fans will flip out over.  Its insanely awesome!!!  I just need to refine a few more things but it will be taking things to a new level!  (Buckle up!)  :)

Hey Backers!

I've got some great news!  The tooling for the figures has been going on for about a week which is a huge step in the action figure business.  The factory I'm using is amazing and have been on top of everything and my production manager is THE BEST!!!  I'm super grateful for all the help I have received to make this project a reality.  The initial tooling usually is about 1 month but then there will be some fine tuning to make these figures awesome!

We are still on schedule to get you these figures by mid summer and I'll keep you updated.  Make sure you fill out your survey to choose your figures if you haven't already.

I also have some very exciting new stuff I've been working on that I will share with you in the next update and because you are the kickstarter backers, you will get the news first!
